Siyabonga Ntini’s label, Ralfe, is modern and his women’s wear range for this year’s DFF focuses on the importance of the women, celebrating their “girliness”, strength, flaws and other nuances.
Overall, the brand draws on avant-garde influences and a meta-modernist approach. He loves tonal colours and “anything light and airy”. He launched his brand in 2013 and named it after his late father, Ralf Thokozane Ntini.
Born in JHB & then relocated to Durban to further his studies, Ntini started out studying fashion at the Durban University of Technology. He dropped out after his first year. However, that didn’t mean he was giving up on design and he went on to complete his studies in Gauteng.
He first showcased his work at the DFF 2014, earning an internship to Milan.
