The Fashion Development Program, is aimed at capacitating young and emerging fashion designers with both the technical and business management skills required to run a sustainable and profitable business. The purpose of the program is to encourage entrepreneurship and the business of fashion while moving away from the perception that the industry is only about entertainment, glitz and glamour. This industry is one that should be taken seriously as a lucrative industry and one that produces employment opportunities.
The program has different pillars that address different needs of the fashion business and culminates in the DFF Recognition Awards where we recognise the work contributed by everyone working in the industry and paying respect to those that have been in the industry despite the challenges that we have faced.
