The final callbacks for the Durban Fashion Fair (D

The final callbacks for the Durban Fashion Fair (DFF) model scouting is underway at the Durban Exhibition Centre's Coast of Dreams today, 23 April.

The total of 116 models who made it to the last round were selected from five regional model search roadshows held in March. Today, they are once again going head-to-head to ensure they secure top spots in the competition. Only 24 models will be selected to be part of the 2023 DFF new faces that will get to work in many fashion programmes facilitated by eThekwini Municipality and its various partners. These include the DFF fashion show and the Hollywoodbets Durban July.

The top 24 will then undergo an intensive model bootcamp training to learn 'all things model etiquette'. Past DFF model scouting beneficiaries are making waves in the industry, with many working for established modelling agencies and big brands. The DFF model scout aims to expose aspirant models to opportunities.

The final leg of the Regional Model Scouting Roadshow will be held this weekend.

Aspirant models are urged to not miss out on this amazing opportunity.

EThekwini Municipality calls on all aspiring models to strut their stuff for the judges at the open casting and model scouting day.

Selected models will walk the runway at Durban’s premier fashion event - the Durban Fashion Fair taking place later this year.

On Saturday, 1 April the roadshow will be at the Pinetown Civic Centre and on Sunday, 2 April at the SEDA Offices at 127 Johannes Street.

Those auditioning are urged to bring a copy of their ID and proof of residence.
